OK, I usually wear cushion trainers for running, but recently bought a pair of stability ones, but still Asics in make. I have recently started doing a fair bit of cycling (avg 15 miles every other day) from nothing, and deverloped for the first time ever, tendonitis in my left achilles.
I havent upped my distance or anything like that, the only new things were the cycling and the trainers.
I've got shot of the trainers and gone back to normal, and run a course of massage and ibuprofen for a week, and it seems to have cleared up, albeit leaving stiff soleus.
Is it the trainers, or is it possible to get tendonitis from cycling?!!

:? :D Cheers!

You would have to have a very starnge cylcing technique for it to be that, I would suggest the trainers are a more likely cause - especially if you run on hills or uneven surfaces.
