Hello
I injured my ankle jogging about 4 months ago (and have since tried the usual excercise rest etc etc) - when my foot was forced upwards and backwards towards my shin when my foot hit a rock.

I can only walk continually for about 1/2 hour before limping quite badly I cannot weightbear on it or run at all as when I try to run I get severe pain and also general walking is painful. I get very severe pain if I squat on that leg. Have seen a physio and had ultrasound treatment they seem to think it is ankle ligament trouble and I have been referred to a specialist however it could be another 3 months wait!

I do not enjoy gym work and play 5 a side football or did 3 times a week I am 49yrs of age and intend to play on!!!! as my kids are old enought to join in to and we all miss the fun. I am thinking of starting swimming regularly but would be grateful for any advice as to any way forward prior to seeing the specialist
regards
Dave
