Hi,
I am so glad that I found this forum. I broke my ankle 5 weeks ago and have been at my wits end. I broke my tibia and fibula and had some chips suctioned out, and the whole thing put back together with ORIF. Two screws and a plate. I was in the hospital for two days and then sent home. Have been non-weight bearing since. Had cast removed after ten days, had fracture blisters so the doc left the staples in for another week. Sent me home in a walking boot, which I was to treat as a cast, no removal, no shower. At next appointment a week later, staples were removed and went home with the same walking boot. Still no weight bearing. Can take it off to shower and at night for a half hour break. I can do ROM exercises only front to back, pulling ankle towards my body and releasing. Have another appointment Friday, and am hoping I can put some weight on this foot. Anyone have a timetable for stuff like this?
