Hi I had a scan on my back at a hospital in Cheltnam for £198 it was good enough for the consultant and several osteo's that have seen them.
Like everything in life price is not always a guarantee of quality.
I was happy with mine.
Cheers John Murphy

There are some places that offer a limited range of images or use obselete equipment to save time and costs but the more ethical centres will do exactly the same scan as for their own orthopaedic surgeons. Many of the radiologists will also report scans for private hospitals charging 2 or 3 times as much for the same scans. One problem may be that individual surgeons might want obscure projections or sequences but these can be arranged at the time of referral rather than complain about it afterwards.
Incidentally, Cheltenham has put its price up to £218 now- still a bargain but there are still quality private scans available for £200 if you search the internet
