I read an article on the site about a rower who had pains in left hip / gluteals and hip flexors. After evaluation, a significant contibutory factor was driving for at least 15 hours per week, with using the clutch as the specific action triggering problems.
I have had very similar problems for 7 years, and this is the first time I have managed to find someone else attesting to the same problem. However, my problem is on my RIGHT side, with severe acute cramp type pain at the insertion of rectus femoris just above the hip.
I have had x rays, MRI scans, chiropracty etc and have attempted just about every exercise / stretch all to no benefit. I only get the pain when driving and cannot reproduce it by any other activity.
Please can you tell me the specific exercises which the individual on the site was advised to perform.
I am desperate to get some relief from this pain.
Thank you.

Hi Have you tried seeing a neuromuscular therapist? You may have trigger points....they will know what to check for...which muscles to check. Make sure they have trained/taken the extra courses for trigger points in the lower body and torso. Trigger points can do some amazing stuff to your muscles...good luck!
