Hi

I was just wondering, what is the general recovery time of a pretty serious growth plate injury.. i think that is might be classified as type III to quite possible a type V, fracture.
What happened is this girl at my gym, got spotted for a vault (talking gymnastics here) and he over rotated and feet missed the ground and BAM! onto the landing mats.. Her whole arm is bruides from the shoulder joint down to the wrist. Her parents took her to the doctor and it seems her growth plate has been squashed and pushed out to the side.
I want to get some information of things that could help her recover and pass any valuable information on them. Cause no offence to doctors, but doctors don't always tell everything, more like just enough so you recover and then its upto you to figure out the rest. that way more chance of you coming back. (just a generalisation, as there are some amazing and really great doctors, like all the ones of this site i am sure  )

If anyone has any infomation they want to pass on please do
