Its been about a month now since I have found that my heels hurt. More so after activity (except swimming it seems) and now the ankles have joined in.

I did replace a dead pair of triainers for a pair of New Balance shoes with better support but I still seem to suffer. There is a bit of tightness in the calves when I am on the treadmill but I was told by the marathoner on the next machine that it is part and parcel of getting into jogging/running and breaking in a pair of new)ish shoes.

Any thoughts?

I'm supposed to be headed back to Whistler in four weeks but now I wonder if I have another problem to worry about.

Thanks.

How about working out in your bare feet? I'm not talking about running in your bare feet but doing exercises like squats, lunges, toe raises, and general weight training -- all in your bare feet.

No sense having shoes covering up problems.
