I recently injured my back in a heavy fall whilst skiing. Initial signs are that besides muscle damage, which is healing well, I have probably damaged ligaments. Basically stretching or twisting particularly from a seated position and getting out of a car seat (the longer sat there the worse it gets) results in a sharp pain which feels like its right along my lumbar spine or close to it. My whole life I have been a very active person and this debilitating injury is already having an impact on my life and making me depressed. It is 4 weeks since the injury occurred but whilst the muscle is almost fully repaired the other sharp pain continues and from experience I know this is not muscular. My question is how soon can prolotherapy be undertaken on my injury?
