Open Tibial Tubercle Transfer...anyone had one?

I am a 27 year old girl who's had knee issues her whole life. I started back when i was 10. long story short, i never really received treatment from a partially torn ligament injury and it just got worse from there. Every doctor i have been to since my initial injury told me to just do physical therapy and all would fix it's self. well it didnt. after years and years of different doctors opinions i finally saw one who recommended surgery. he told me that he would do a knee arthoscopy with lateral release and open tibial tubercle transfer. i have read a TON about the lateral release but there is not too much information on a open tibial tubercle transfer. has anyone had this done?
