I have something diagnosed as capsulitis. It is pain in the ball of the foot, when running or walking and has something to do with the second toe. My second toe sticks up further than the others and if you trace down behind it on the ball of the foot, and press it kills. Anyone else have this and does anyone know what to do about it? It definitely hinders running. Thanks.

capsulitis is an iflammation

capsulitis is an iflammation of a capsule that surround a joint, by the sounds of it you may have a "dropped" or stretches capsule that is being over stressed with running. I would recommend you re assess your trainers are they old or new, either they're too old and it would help to get a new pair, or the new ones are making your feet move ina different way causing abnormal stresses on the ball of your foot. If that is a negative to the above then I would reccomend you go and see a podiatrist for and assessment to see if you need insoles etc to help in the positioning of your foot and you roll through from heel to toe when running.
Hope that helps!
Train hard train happy - if it's going to hurt you might as well enjoy it!!
