.A friend of mine keeps getting his shoulder dislocated. He hasn't had any luck going to the physio. Has anyone got any exercises/ideas that he could do to help strengthen his shoulder and prevent future dislocations?? Any ideas would be very appreciated.

I tore my hamstring in a 60m race 4 days ago and when I grabbed it I fell dislocating my shoulder and fracturing my socket and badly grazing my arm which got infected...Never in my life have I felt so much pain it took them 10mins to get me off the track and even after gas and morphine the pain was still there the doctors have advised a sling for at least 3 weeks or otherwise it could dislocate again I think if they said 3 years I would do it as I never want that pain again.Take heed Warm up properly thats what I didnt do.

How old is the injured person?
I have found that the younger a person is the longer it takes to repair, and the more likely it is to 'pop out' regularly.
Is this person continuing to take part in 'active' sport? Is this how it keeps coming out?
What has this person's doctor said about the injury and it's repair time?
Has the person followed this advice?
