When I am in an aero tuck for long periods of time (2 hours plus) I get
very sore at the top (as high as possible) inside of my thigh.

I use padded cycling shorts, I have tried cycling underwear by polaris, Patrolium Jel etc..

All suggestions welcome.

Try talk powder. This dries out the moisture around the the crease of the leg. It is poss it is the moisture that causes the sores.

I know how it feels although never quite on you scale of an ironman. I tend to get sores whenever I cycle over 30 minutes! Too much of a health hazard so taking a back seat at the moment.

A skin cream, such as Savlon, may well help. You need to ensure that your shorts are kept very hygienic too. They need to be thoroughly washed before every use. Chamois creams are also a good idea for long distances.

Hi
Thanks for all your comments.

I have tried Assos Chamois Cream direct on the skin - this works for rides upto 4 1/2 hours, I have not tried it above that yet.

I will add further comments as and when I try other products
