Hi,
Ive been running the 400 meters for 3 seasons including 1 indoor season and 2 school seasons. Ive brought my time down from 1:07 to 58.2 in a year time. As a youth boy i check the times most youth boys run the 400 meter dash in the USATF and AAU Jr. Olympics and i realise that I need some training. My goal is to get my time down to atleast 54, or 55 seconds by the end of June when USATF and AAU States start to qualify for nationals. What are some helpful exercises i can do to help me improve my time in the 400 Meter Dash.

plyometrics. although it takes at least 6 to 8 weeks to see any benefits

you need to work on your endurance. I have to go right now but I can tell you some stuff a little later.

I agree with White Rabbit. You need to work more on track than in the gym -technique, speed end etc.
