This is not really distance running help but more recovery help, I think.
I was reading something or heard that your body takes like more than 7 days to recover from a long run, (not knowing how long that run was that their meaning) but saying that every 7 days or so is your next long run and your not recovering fully from it, saying also that you should take 1 week off every 4 - 5 weeks or so. would this be true? or is it ok just too keep training all year round? does it go on how long you've been running for, I just dont want to develop some type of arthritis when im older or anything that would totally stop me from running in mid years or older or even sooner. any help would be heap helpfull thanks..

Ive been running for pretty long now too me.(2 years). and yea I hope and think I'd know if I feel run down as in worn out through runs los in performance loss in appetite weak muscles colds ect..
My running shedule by itself is
Sunday: 45km (4:00min pace) per km
Monday: 10km (taking it easy pace) 4:30 km
Tuesday: 400metre (3:00min pace)per km
Wednesday: 14km(4:10) per km
Thursday: 400metre (3:00) per km
Friday: rest
Saturday: 10km(4:00) per km

even on how long Ive been running does that seem like enough rest
Does anyone in here take a week off or two every soo often too catch up on recovery?

Plus 3 full body gym workouts a week monday wednesday and friday
and plyometric exercises 3 times aweek in the morning with a 30mins jog, as the shedule above is done in the afternoons
