hey everyone,

im a female who runs 100m sprints only. Three weeks ago, on the 11th of may, we had competions and i won with 15sec,then we had inter-zonal competions on friday, the 27th, i came first againbut this time with 13.63 seconds. now i noticed that my reaction time is rather slow and needs to be worked on.My question now is what activities can l do to increase my reaction time and my speed, lm sure i can reduce the speed to 11, or better. what l dont know is the specific drills to undertake . We have zonal competions at the end of june, the 30th. can you guys help with suggestions . thanks in advance.

It is amazing you could go from 15sec to 13 sec in less than a month. That is a terrific achievement. The programme that you are using must be working wonders unless you are a good sprinter who had not been training. If the improvents that you realised are a result of training then you better stick to the programme that you are using. Good luck.

Perfect practice makes perfect. If you continue to work on these areas, the learning effect (neuromuscular control) increases your performance without getting stronger or bigger. The body becomes more efficient. Continue training on the areas that you believe are weak so that you can progress and create a block to work from in the future.

come back to 100m sprints

I guess you need to talk to a coach who can assess you and you and they can decide whether or not you want to work together.

Can you contact anyone you used to train with?
