I was pondering something i thought to be interesting in regaurds to weight training; say if someone were to execute a set of bench press @225x 10 in say 30 seconds he/she would haved pressed 2250 lbs in thirty seconds but lets say they werent able to recruit enough fibers from the cns to do all ten in sucession and they rather performed them in a type of rest-pause method using a smith machine by doing a rep reracking taking in but a single breath (maybe 1.5 sec rest) and continued to crank out ten reps but maybe in 40-50 secs because the absolute volume is the same have they sucessfully stimulated the same amount of fibers as 225@10 in 30 seconds?
