I just noticed a post concerning Ephedrine, and the comment that the writer had been using this 'legal drug' for some time. This raised the question of other 'legal drugs', such as creatine, which I understand is widely used (there's even a Peak Performance manual on the stuff). My question/topic for debate is whether it is ok to use a drug just because it is legal. Is it not the case that some drugs would be banned if it were not for the fact that they can occur naturally in the human body, and that testing would therefore be impractical? My own view is that cheating in sport removes the whole reason for sport, takes all the pleasure out of doing well at sport, and is to be abhorred. But where do you draw the line on 'cheating'? Is it the use of steroids? Of ephedrine? Of creatine? Of a cup of coffee? Any views, anyone?

Tough topic but I guess it

Tough topic but I guess it just depends on the sport you compete in and the rules outlined within that. Eph is not 'legal' here in the UK and is banned in most sports.........
The banning of creatine and caffeine is a pointless subject imo as, as you have stated, testing is so limited and creatine can hardly be termed a 'drug'
