.What do people think of Liu Xiang the Chinese 110m hurdler?
Do you think he used drugs. I find so shocked and rare that a Chinese sprint athlete not only broke into finals of the sprint track event but also produce a world record that equalled Colin Jackson's.

its very easy to label Liu Xiang a cheat but may not be true. I believe China have exceptional training systems following on from the success of Russian, Germans, Bulgarians in explosive events (throw, jumps, Olympic lifting). Who is not to say that every other competitor in the final was not on drugs. It is a little nieve to attribute all success to drugs. Xiang is a talented individual who peaked at the right time. I think he was third inthe world champs behind the French guy Decoure - is he in drugs too?
China holds 1/3 of world population so you are going to find some serious diversity in physical characteristics. Look at some of their basketball and volleyball players - 7foot plus! Is it really that hard to believe that China can produce an explosive athlete of serious world class? The UK are struggling to have any world class sprinters (world championship finalists/sub 10sec 100m/sub 20 sec 200m) currently and have not recently produced a sub 10 second 100m runner - close but not quite.
I am not suggesting no one is abusing the anti-doping regs but to coldly say an athlete is abusing the anti-doping regs because they have done well is dangerous.

i think its time that our stereotype views will have to change, and on this occassion iam pleased to see that someone different has won the event rather than having the same athlete win over and over again. And for the drug issue it seems pretty clear to me that he hasn't used any illegal sport performance drug, as he has run in WR time which therefore mean that there will be thorugh testing on his samples before its made offical.

Are you not shocked that a Welsh athlete "not only broke into finals of the sprint track event but also produce a world record"?
China has 1.3 billion people; I'm surprised it took so long. They should have a far greater proportion of world class athletes than they do. Evidence, perhaps, of lack of systematic performance enhancing drug use?
