think about your goals everyday, look at them everyday, and self-discipline. When Im in practice and im real tired after 5 200M repeats I just tell myself "Getting stronger is going when you feel like stopping."

i have a real mental block about hurdles!! i just cant do them, i seem 2 get worse the more i practice. im a long/triple jumper but want to try a heptathlon but just cant do this event! any tips 4 improving my confidence and attitude towards hurdles?

Trying not to think a particular way can be unhelpful. Give yourself a focus. That's why goals are helpful. I've an article on goal setting on my website www.mentalskills.co.uk. Its easier for me to refer you there than typing more!
