I am a Physical Education Student at the College of Marin and am interested in hearing everyone's opinion on Track surfaces. We are looking to replace our Track surface at the College and have received several bids on the the replacement job. The Mondo surface is very interesting. I wonder if any one here could share their experiences with Track & Field surfaces. How did it go for you when you got your surface done and how has it lasted? Have your athletes enjoyed running on your surface. We have received several bids on a new surface. 1) 9 year warranty $690K US probably Rekortan track 2) 12 year warranty $830K US probably Rekortan track 3) 12 year warranty with Eco friendly materials (presumably Mondo) $935K US 4) 20 year warranty with Mondo surface $1.25 million US. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Here's the link to information re one of the distributors for the Mondo surface in the US. The distributor registered a bid for their products and services with the US federal government procurement system so that schools and institutions could access a pre-screened and approved price structure. Most schools that have gone out and solicited their own bids have had similar rates quoted. A large variable at any installation site is the work that needs to be done to the under-surface prior to the track surface being installed.
