About Jeremy Wariner: Having been mentored by world record holder and five time Olympic gold medallist Michael Johnson, it comes as no surprise that Jeremy Wariner is currently the best 400m runner in the world. The Beijing Games will be Wariner’s second Olympics, having previously won gold in the 400m race and 400m relay at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Wariner made his explosive debut in 2004 and has since gone on to establish himself as the undisputed 400m champion, winning gold medals in the 2005 and 2007 World Championships. His trademark is running whilst wearing sunglasses and he believes this enables him to focus on the track ahead.
