About Tom Daley: Daley will become the second youngest British male ever to compete at the Olympic Games. Daley qualified for the Beijing Olympics in February 2008 by achieving seventh place in the men’s individual platform event (a top eight finish was required). Daley’s progress has been rapid and at the tender age of 13 he has already tasted gold by becoming the youngest ever 10m Platform European Champion, in March 2008. Initially he was touted as a major medal contender for the 2012 Olympics in London but his early development has ensured that this gifted young diver will now realise his Olympic dream in Beijing.
