His main rivals will be Chinese duo Zhou Luxin and Lin Yue and Russian diver Gleb Galperin. The 2008 Olympics in Beijing may prove too early for the British hopeful but if he maintains the same standard of performance that has seen him succeed this year, he could yet spring a shock.
