Running & fitness

Right then. Just joined the forum. I'm basically a runner but into all types of fitness etc. What trips people's switch to make them run - for a PB/PR, for weight control, for stress relief, for fitness for another sport...
What gets you out the door when you don't fancy it?
(BTW To introduce myself, as seems is the done thing, I've run everything from 400m to marathon. Variety is the spice of life right? PRs 53.0/1.56.1/3.51.5/4.10.8/8.22/14.32/30.15/2.31.27)

Great Question!

That was a Great question.. I personaly dont have to run.. but I do.. and I love it... I sacrifice other events in my life just so I dont miss "my run"

Running does so much for me I couldnt even get started about it.. running is something that God has blessed me with the power to be able to do.. I look at so many people that can not run do to injuries or other things and its just so sad... Running also clears my mind and if I have a problem, I go for a run and by the time Im done.. problem solved!

I race sometimes.. and I do very well.. always first or second.. But.. I dont want the race to take away what running really means to me...

Cheers.. JEN

It seem like I'm surrounded by a bunch of experts. (
I mainly run for my health and staying in shape, and I really enjoy it!
But this is not the only reason. My Savior has given me a healthy body and I want to use it to glorify Him. Some people don't have legs they can use to run, and I can use mine to show Him I'm grateful! I'm blessed more than I realize! Running and living for My Lord are two of my greatest passions! He's wonderful to know!
Smile lots and Laugh often!
