I have been fairly fit most of my life. I started doing Triathlons in 1984 and still do 1 a year just because I can. My base fitness sports are running, swimming and occasional biking. I have recently taken up rock climbing-indoor wall. I also like kayaking, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing. I was diagnosed with lupus 2 years ago. I have mostly muscular pain and fatigue. Running seems to fatigue me more than anything. I am interested in any info regarding lupus and athletics. I will be 60 years old next week and plan as my goal to attain the level of lead certification in rock climbing within the next year. I'm hoping my lupus will not interfere with this goal, however if it does I will at least have given it my best shot!! I also work in a medical clinic as a nurse practitioner in pediatrics.
