- Biography:
Prior to achieving my Physiotherapy degree in 2001, I qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist gaining accreditation with the Sports Massage Association in 1998.
Aside from working closely with National, and International athletes, in varying disciplines, I have also worked for the NHS since 2001, developing my clinical knowledge & understanding of a variety of conditions including:
Osteoathritis
Whiplash
Chronic Joint & Back Pain.
Occupational Health
Pre and Post Operative Care
Repetative Strain Injuries.
I am the Clinical Lead for Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy at Cardiff AAC, and have worked closely with the club for the last ten years. I have travelled with the senior squads at national levels, at home and away, as well as being the medical support for the Welsh Athletics Association at many National and International matches over the last 11 years.
I have also had the opportunity to work with the Womens Welsh football squad at their pre World Cup training camps, from which they far succeeded their male counterparts!
Since 2006 I has been the Squad Physiotherapist for Builth Wells Rugby Club, a job that involves acute pitch side injury management, as well as running the weekly Injury Clinic.- Interests:
