Back Injuries: functional power and agility phase
Back injuries are very common both in sport and everyday life. Specific pain can generally be classified into acute lower back pain and mild to moderate lower back pain. It is not always possible to make a precise diagnosis of a specific back injury or condition but this should not prevent the pain from being managed or treated.

The functional power and agility phase:
8a. Russian power twist – body on ball
Start in a bridge position on the ball holding medicine ball in both hands vertically above chest. Brace abdominals and aim to keep the spine in good alignment. Keep arms extended and roll over to right side – return to starting position and switch movement to left side. Perform 10-12 repetitions and increase speed as repetitions increase.
8b. Russian power twist – body on ball, weight increased.
